Dentons assisted the successful launching of ABS project - China’s first private highway toll right

In January 2022, as the special legal counsel, Dentons assisted the successful launching of the Huajin Securities-Huiguan Expressway Asset Support Special Project (“the Project”) in Shenzhen Stock Exchange. In this Project, Huiguan Expressway (Huizhou) Investment Co., Ltd. is the original owner, Huajin Securities Co., Ltd. (“Huajin Securities”) functions as the manager, and Huajin Securities and Dongxing Securities are contracted marketing agencies.
This Project is China’s first private highway toll right asset securitization project. The underlying assets are the toll right on Huiguan Expressway operated by the original owner in accordance with the law and legally transferred to the special plan on the asset delivery date. The target project is the Huizhou section of Huiguan Expressway in the Greater Bay Area.
