Recently, Beijing Dentons Law Offices, LLP (Guangzhou) won the bid for the BRICS International Legal Collaboration Platform Project organized by the China Branch of BRICS Institute of Future Networks, demonstrating Dentons’ advantages in utilizing “global resources and local wisdom” in the field of international legal services.
The China Branch of BRICS Institute of Future Networks was established with official approval by the 4th BRICS Communication Ministers’ Conference, with the aim of promoting all-round and pragmatic cooperation between BRICS member countries and other developing countries in various aspects such as future network technology innovation, policy research, industry promotion, facility construction, international cooperation and talent training through utilizing both international and national markets and resources, utilizing the policy advantages, capital advantages, technological advantages and industrial cluster advantages of Shenzhen City, as well as the comprehensive advantages of the national government think tank of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT). The China Branch will focus on international cooperation in the fields of new network architecture, new generation mobile communications, industrial Internet, artificial intelligence, Internet of Vehicles, high-speed intelligent optical network, network and information security, so as to meet the technology matching, collaborative cooperation and market demand of BRICS member countries and other developing countries, as well as the extensive market demand of “Belt and Road” countries and regions.
The Project team members, including the two partners Zhang Xiangfa and Duan Haiying from Dentons Guangzhou Office, will cooperate with Dentons overseas offices to provide clients at home and abroad with legal services related to the other four BRICS countries (Russia, Brazil, South Africa and India).
